Camila Mendes shares new look at Teela’s suit in Masters of the Universe set photo
On June 16, the 30-year-old actress posted a carousel of photos from the set of Master of the Universe on social media, confirming that production on the film has reached completion.
Alongside the announcement on Instagram, Camila Mendes also shared a BTS image of herself dressed as Teela, giving fans a fresh look at Prince Adam’s protector. In the picture, she can be seen chomping down on a cheeseburger while holding a tray of fries in her MOTUS outfit.
The photo showcases a new take on Teela’s costume, which has traditionally flaunted a color combination of white and gold across all formats. While the look shared by Mendes manages to capture the fundamental essence of Teela’s iconic suit, it also highlights some differences from the source material, with the live-action version seemingly opting for a more muddy gold feature in the costume.
In addition to sharing a new look at Teela, Camila Mendes also detailed how it felt to work on a project like Masters of the Universe. She noted, “Getting to play Teela has been one of the most exciting and challenging experiences of my career. The week of suspense between my final audition and getting the part was excruciating, to say the least. But here I am, almost a year later, a full-blown gym bro and converted redhead, wrapping up 7 incredible months of living like a London girl, eating like an athlete, and running around as a warrior woman!”
Mendes’ update on MOTUS comes shortly after Nicholas Galitzine, who portrays the titular character in the film, took to social media to share a glimpse of himself dressed up as He-Man with fans.
Helmed by Travis Knight, Masters of the Universe is on track to hit the big screens on June 5, 2026.
